DAVE A FINE FIT FOR EQUINE LIFESTYLE FESTIVAL
ANIMAL-LOVING FARMER DAVE A FINE FIT FOR EQUINE LIFESTYLE FESTIVAL
Dog trainer, Farmer, Entrepreneur and TV Star David ‘Dave’ Graham has been announced as the official Ambassador for the Equine Lifestyle Festival (ELF); an all-encompassing event celebrating the culture of regional horse and dog competitions and a showcase of country living, lifestyle and agriculture.
The charismatic Farmer from Box Hill in Sydney’s outskirts affectionately known as ‘Farmer Dave’, has a long history with a regional lifestyle having worked as an Outback Bushman across stations in Australia’s heartland. Raised as the youngest of 11 children on a 100,000 acre station in Goondiwindi, his youth was spent on the back of a horse driving stock, aided by his team of working dogs.
When he crossed paths with fame and moved to a more urban metropolis Graham brought his love of dogs with him and made his passion his career, developing an enviable facility that uses positive reinforcement to train happy dogs.
Event Director of ELF Rod Lockwood was delighted to appoint Graham as the official Event Ambassador, saying that his passion for regional living together with his professional experience training animals offered the perfect synergy.
“Dave Graham has great credibility from an industry perspective and a genuine love of the land, horses and dogs. He is engaging and entertaining and at ease in front of the camera and behind the microphone, and he has a great fan base that he supports interactively through his presence at events.” Said Lockwood.
Graham was excited about his new role. “The event has an amazing mix of competitions; I was born on the back of a horse chasing stock, so I am looking forward to watching some great Campdrafting, as well as new sports like Ranch Sorting. By including a strong competition and entertainment I think that ELF has the potential to be a great destination event for Sydney-siders and I have been busy working on the dog program to make sure it includes something for the young and the young at heart,” he said.
With a huge program of competitions in Western and Equestrian disciplines, dog programs, kids zones, shopping, entertainment and gourmet food and wine showcasing paddock to plate produce ELF will be a truly interactive and family friendly event.
ELF will take place at the Hawkesbury Showgrounds from the 13th to the 15th November, 2015. Discounted Earlybird Tickets are on sale 1 July. For further information head to www.equinelifestylefestival.com.au and follow the event on Facebook and Instagram.
