Lipizzaner Stud Piber starts into the new winter season on November 1st, 2013

From November 1st, 2013 to April 4th, 2014, the Federal Stud Piber in West Styria offers daily stud tours for visitors at 11:00 hrs and 14:00 hrs (also on holidays).

During the one-hour tour you will visit the Lipizzaners in their stables, the farrier as well as the stud’s inner courtyard and the carriage house. After the tour feel free to browse the souvenir shop or visit the cinema. Meeting point and ticket sale in the souvenir shop also on weekends.

Guided stud tours
The Federal Stud of Piber, where the descendants of the equestrian stars are born and raised, offer competent guided tours through the stud, giving visitors an insight in breeding, raising, daily routine of the horses and interesting information on the history of both the stud and the development of the Lipizzaners.

Adventure walk to our young stallions
After an exciting guided tour through the main stud, you will be accompanied to our rearing farm where you will visit the young stallions. After enjoying some spicy hot punch, your touring coach can pick you up, right at the rearing farm which is situated about 2 km from the main stud.

Meet our new-born colts and fillies

On a very special guided tour the visitors get an insight into breeding procedures and information about the unique form of foal rearing that is practiced in Piber. Additionally, they meet our mares and their foals “personally”.
