TheraPlate Peak Performance Award Presented to

Amy Lamberth and Alhena REA at IALHA Nationals

New Braunfels, TX (November 3, 2017)—TheraPlate Revolution Therapy Platforms had plenty of horses to choose from when looking for the winner of their Peak Performance Award at the International Andalusian and Lusitano Horse Association National Championship horse show, held in New Braunfels, Texas. Andalusian horses competed in top condition, many of them showing their skills at several different disciplines. TheraPlate has a history of recognizing well-conditioned horses, and while choosing from this pool was no easy task, one mare stood out to the company. Alhena REA shown by Junior rider Amy Lamberth was presented with the TheraPlate Peak Performance Award for her excellent and seemingly effortless performances in a number of different classes.

Alhena REA (Ali) is an 11-year-old purebred Andalusian mare and is owned by Lexi O’Dell. Fourteen-year-old Amy Lamberth leases Ali, and does the majority of the mare’s upkeep and training herself.

Lamberth showed Ali in a number of different classes, and went home with a total of 9 National Championships and 3 Reserve National Championships. “She’s extremely versatile. She’s capable of competing in everything from hunt seat to saddle seat,” said Lamberth’s mother, Celeste, of the mare. “They’re a great team. It was a success for both. She’s a great little rider,” she added proudly of her daughter.

Celeste Lamberth added that versatility is a hallmark of the Andalusian show circuit. “The reason we show Andalusians is it’s an opportunity to show a very versatile horse. You get to show the horse’s versatility and the rider’s versatility. It’s never boring!” she said. Lamberth and Ali competed successfully in several different disciplines, and they did so across the divisions. “She not only won her Junior classes, but she actually competed in Open and Amateur classes as well against a lot of really nice horses.” Lamberth did an excellent job of showcasing Ali’s athleticism at the show, and TheraPlate was proud to present them with the Peak Performance Award.

Lamberth was thrilled to receive the TheraPlate Peak Performance Award. “She was ecstatic!” her mother recalled happily. Lamberth and her mother pay close attention to Ali’s condition, and having their efforts recognized was very exciting. “We feel like she is a tremendous athlete so we were really honored to get that award because it was the right award for her,” said Celeste Lamberth.

The Lamberth’s are not unfamiliar with TheraPlate’s therapy platforms and have tried them with their Appaloosa horses. They are very excited to make use of the free trial of a TheraPlate at their farm that was part of the Peak Performance Award.
